Who is GFSI?
Statement of Purpose:
To relieve poverty and benefit the community of Greater Fredericton by providing social planning to advance comprehensive community strategies guided by research, analysis and community defined goals.
Vision Statement:
GFSI is a network of concerned organizations, agencies and individuals working cooperatively and collaboratively to make Fredericton and its environs the best possible community in which to live, work, raise families and play.
Our Values:
INNOVATION is being open to the best approaches for solving community challenges and taking advantage of opportunities that arise. It involves finding and defining gaps and adapting existing or creating novel strategies as appropriate. It requires creativity, agility, flexibility, openness and shared leadership.
INCLUSION is seeking out and making space for a diversity of voices and perspectives to co-create the present and the future. It involves engaging all stakeholders to address community defined issues and opportunities using collaboration, sharing and partnerships.
IMPACT is making a positive difference in the social, economic, financial, environmental and/or cultural aspects of our community. It relies on research driven and evidenced based decision making and happens when the appropriate people are connected with relevant projects. It is supposed by building capacity in individuals, communities, and agencies.
INTEGRITY is living out our values consistently in order to build trust and instill confidence. It requires treating all with respect and dignity and holding ourselves accountable for what we say and do, individually and collectively.

Community Stewardship
Social innovation brings together those who work hard, and dream big. Our Stewardship Team is a cross sector group of community leaders who are working to make Greater Fredericton a better place to live, work and play.
